About Me

I am a reluctant traveler.  Or at least I was until I started traveling.  Until quite recently I had only left the country a few times.  During my last trip to Nicaragua, I met my beautiful and talented partner, Kasia, a photographer who has been traveling for the past 8 years.  I can’t say that her adventures immediately intrigued me, but after many months of talking about it, I decided to join her in her global wandering.

Before leaving I decided I wanted to blog about where we went and what we were doing, and I bought the domain for A Reluctant Traveler, thinking it an apt description of myself.  Five months into our travels, I had posted exactly nothing, and I had become far from reluctant.  That being said, my friends and family are well aware of my past misgivings about international travel, and I have yet to come up with a new name.  So for now, this now not-so-reluctant traveler will post here anyway, and when a new moniker comes to me, I will shift over to that.

Until then, please enjoy the travels of Michael and Kasia.
